Austrian Airlines is scaling back the number of flight movements between Klagenfurt and Vienna in its winter timetable. And Lufthansa is putting on more flights between Graz and Munich.
Lufthansa and Air Dolomiti are continuing to add new flights on their Graz-Munich route and are poised to add bigger aircraft in future. From 27 October 2019 flights will run from Graz to Munich a grand total of 34 times a week, up one from the current level. A new Sunday morning rotation is the new addition. This gives passengers yet another opportunity to tap into the short-, medium- and long-haul flight schedules offered in Munich. To date, the route has chiefly used CRJ900s, but will increasingly feature larger aircraft such as the Embraer 195 and the Airbus A319.
Klagenfurt airport’s winter schedules are set to quieten down somewhat in 2019/20 when Austrian Airlines cuts the number of flights to Vienna by one service a day, streamlining the Lufthansa subsidiary’s offering to a maximum of three flights a day. Its Saturday timetable will also be pared back to just two daily round trips.
